Curriculum

Sara Model School follows the comprehensive Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Curriculum.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools. The CBSE curriculum is designed to provide holistic education that promotes intellectual, social and cultural vivacity among its learners.

  • Languages:
    • English: The CBSE English curriculum focuses on developing proficiency in reading, writing, listening and speaking. It includes literature, creative writing, grammar, vocabulary and communication skills.
    • Second Language (Hindi/Sanskrit/Regional Language): The curriculum develops basic language skills with focus on reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar and conversational ability.
  • Mathematics:

  • Science:

  • Social Science:

    The Social Science curriculum covers History, Geography, Political Science and Economics. It helps students understand society, human relationships, historical developments and contemporary issues.

  • Information Technology:

    The curriculum develops digital literacy and computer skills including basic programming, software applications, internet safety and responsible use of technology.

  • Art Education:

    The curriculum includes visual and performing arts to foster creativity, imagination and aesthetic appreciation. It covers drawing, painting, craft, music and dance.

  • Health and Physical Education:

    The curriculum promotes physical fitness, healthy lifestyle and sportsmanship through yoga, exercises, games and sports activities. It emphasizes holistic well-being.

  • Work Experience:

    Practical activities are included to develop life skills, vocational skills and respect for all types of work. It includes community service, gardening, craft work etc.

  • Value Education:

    The curriculum inculcates moral values, ethics, empathy and social responsibility through stories, discussions and activities. It promotes universal human values.

  • Third Language (Middle School):

    Students learn a third language (Hindi/Sanskrit/Regional Language) in middle school to promote multilingualism and cultural understanding.

The CBSE curriculum follows a learner-centered approach with continuous and comprehensive evaluation. It focuses on developing 21st century skills like critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication.
